CANON FD 300mm "OPTEX"
Originally a Canon 300m f2.8 FD L series lens converted to Pl mount by Optex. Optex included a custom glass 2x magnifier. The magnifier is added by simply unscrewing the threaded collar on the pl mount, then adding the 2x converter in line with the locating pin, and then re-securing the pl mount to the 2x adapter with the collar. Also included is an internal filter kit, that sits behind the rear element. There is a clear filter in by default. The Tiffen filter set includes Nd from .3 to .9, 85 color filter, and 85 color Nd's from .3 to .9.. This beautiful vintage glass has been upgraded with a focus gear to use with motors and a clickless aperture for cinema applications. Lens supports are included, because the supports are required to use the lens. The lens hood has two stages to fit your needs. the large hod can be removed with the screw-locking pin. Then the small shade can be extended unthreading it, extending, which will reveal the focus gear, and you will find threads to re-lock the shade. The large hood can be reattached in the same manner. The look of this lens is beautiful and matches with many vintage and modern sets.
